Grandma Sonia's Asian Cabbage

I grew up having this as a side at every holiday meal and Friday night dinner. Theres nothing like the memories that are tied to food!

Grandma Sonia's Asian Cabbage

Ingredients

1 Vidalia Onion, Sliced

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 head of Napa Cabbage, thinly sliced

4-6 Tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce or Tamari

2-3 Tablespoons of sesame oil1 teaspoon of brown sugar

1 teaspoon of toasted sesame oil

Salt, to taste

 

Instructions

Heat a saucepan with sesame oil, on a medium low flame and sauté the onion until golden brown, and then add the garlic and let it brown. Add in the cabbage and let it cook down covered for about 5 minutes. Add in the soy sauce and brown sugar. Let the cabbage cook down, stirring occasionally.Once the cabbage is ready, add a drizzle of toasted sesame oil or more if desired.

Additional notes

Cook covered if you desire it to be soft.
