Grilled Steak with Salsa Verde

  • 2 rib steaks

  • Thyme

  • 1/2 cup of chopped scallions, green and white parts

  • 2 tablespoons of chopped mint

  • 1/2 cup cilantro

  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

  • One garlic clove, pasted or minced

  • 1 jalapeno, halved and minced

  • Juice of one and a half of a lime

  • Salt & Pepper

  1. Marinate your rib steaks in a generous amount of salt, oil, and a few sprigs of thyme.

  2. In the meantime, combine 2 tablespoons of thyme, scallions, mint, cilantro, olive oil, garlic, jalapeño and lime in a bowl and mix. Set aside.

  3. Grill your steaks to desired doneness and serve with salsa verde.

Additional Notes


I don't really measure when marinating meats because the sizes vary. Combine the ingredients either in a bowl or food processor, I enjoy the leafy taste when serving, so this recipe is totally versatile and up to you.
