Zaatar Roasted String Beans

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb green beans, ends trimmed off

  • 2 medium spanish onions, finely diced

  • 8 cloves garlic, minced

  • 4 Tablespoons olive oil

  • 4-6 tablespoons zaatar spice

  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400.

  2. In a large roaster or tin, drizzle two tablespoons of olive oil. Add the onions and garlic and combine to coat in oil.

  3. Place the string beans on top and season with remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil and the Zaatar spice.

  4. Roast covered at 400 degrees for 1 hour, stir halfway through, and then uncovered for another hour (depending on how well done you like your green beans).
