Tomato Basil Vinaigrette Salad

Nothing but fresh ingredients for this salad. Simplicity at its true finest, I wouldn't change a thing about this recipe. Less is more for with this one.


Tomato Basil Vinaigrette Salad


  • 5 tomatoes, sliced lengthwise

  • 1 shallot, thinly sliced

  • 1/3 cup basil, chiffonaded

  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

  • 2-4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • Salt & Pepper


  1. Clean and cut all of your produce.

  2. In a small bowl, placed the sliced shallots, olive oil, dijon mustard, vinegar and let it sit for about 10 minutes.

  3. Add in the cherry tomatoes, basil and mix. Season with salt & pepper and serve.

Additional notes

You can save time by just combining all of the ingredients at once. I like to let the shallots marinate a bit so that it can give a the salad a good flavor.
